This movie is suppose to be Hayao Miyazaki's best film for good reason, This movie is alot better than "My Neighbor Totoro" I could actually could follow the story to this film. The characters of this movie I could actually relate to. Unlike a certain movie, I am not going to talk about, the ending to this movie was not predictable. During the entire time i was watching this movie, i was actually wanting to know what was going to happen.I have always been an action junky. I just have to say how bad ass it would be to have an arm that would make every arrow you shoot, chop off the head of the target, to ride around on an elk, or to be able to take out entire boar on your own. Sorry, random rant over.
They used the animals very well. The made the deer be the honorable Forest spirit. The boar was angry and quick tempered to fight. The wolves were hot blooded. It surprised though that they made the wolves be the smart ones in the animal world. They actually thought before they did something,
I have seen the subbed and dubbed versions of this movie and to say that the voice over wasn't actually that good. Some of the voices were similar, but it took away from the film. Because I was so used to the the origional voices, i couldn't really pay attention to the movie. It shouldn't really matter, but it was a distraction. By dubbing the voices, you take away from the movie.
This is to the rest of the members in my group. I am finishing up this post, and not one person has had their up yet

Ahhh, that picture is so unbecoming of a princess... Oh well. FIrst of all, the dubs for the Miyazaki films are actually a lot better than other movies that have been dubbed, and they are accurate haha. But yes, of course I prefer the original voices, just stating that the dubbing wasn't that bad. Oh another note... RAWR NO RANTING! RAWR! OR BEWARE OF MY ARROWS OF DEATH SHOT FROM MY DEMON ARM AIMED AT YOUR ARMS AND HEAD! RAWR! *clears throat* I'm done. (By the way, how does pollution give you super human strength? Should I go and roll around in some industrial toxic waste somewhere? Will I get super powers!? I'll see you at school later, got to find some industrial toxic waste to cover my arm in.
And yes that was a rant, even though I said no ranting... rawr...
I definitely agree that it was nice having a plot, but I'm going to have to dispute what you said about the arm. I think I'd prefer having a full life to being able to take someone's head off with an arrow (that's what guns are for). But riding an elk definitely is badass.
I agree with you that the film has a better plot than the recent movie that we have to see. It acually had some aspect that lead syou to create an imagination. PWNTED IN THE FACE WITH AN ARROW.
AH yeah the film had great plot and progression as well as keeping it farely mysterious until you find out what happens next. But how could you dislike Totoro? I know how good this movie is but Totoro would kill you (if he wanted to...). Anywho good job pointing out how they manipulated animals of the forest and putting their respective roles in there. good job
